I Miss that Little Weirdo

I guess the car Jen was driving got stuck in the snow, so dad had to take her to work.  When he picked her up, he stopped by to help take the dogs out, but Jen didnt come in.  It made me start thinking about how much I miss them.  Im used to them being here, like most of the time.  Its kind of nice that they arent here all the time.  Its really chaotic when theyre here (this house is too small for that many people, plus 2 dogs and 2 cats), but Ive only seen them once in over 2 weeks.

083I miss Jen and all 3 of them girls, but I think its the weirdest not seeing Ava.  At least I can talk to Jen on the phone (I did talk to Ava on the phone yesterday, but its kind of hard to get any real interaction with a 3 year old, through the phone).  I hardly see Gabby during the winter anyway, because shes at school.  Eliana doesnt do much yet, so really all I do is sit and stare at her (she is soooo cute though).  But, Im used to Ava being here a lot, and you can talk to her, and play with her, you know?

IMG_2191IMG_2221Anyway, I want to do a little tribute to this really weird little chick (shes quite eccentric for a 3 year old, and I love it :) ), my niece, Ava, because it makes me smile, and hopefully, itll make someone else smile too.

Some of Avas favorite things

1. Shopping.  The girl has loved to shop since before she could even really talk.  Wed take her in the dressing room to try things on and make sure they fit, and shed spin in circles and look at herself in the mirror like shes gorgeous (which of course, she is).

2.  Horses.  My Little Ponies, rocking horses, real horses, “tending” to be horses.  Doesnt matter, she loves them all.

3.  “Tending” to be a cat.  She calls herself baby cat, and Jens always playing, whether she realizes it or not.  Jen and I will be talking, and Avas running around playing, and all of a sudden we hear “Mommy cat” (shes calling Jen).

IMG_21244.  Last but certainly not least (this may actually be her favorite thing of all), cars.  She loves “tending” to fix them, driving them around pretending shes shopping, just driving them around, playing with them like theyre people (mommy car, daddy car and baby car), sleeping with them…  One of the things we got her for Christmas was a few Hot Wheels.  Matt and Jen got her a truck thats used for carrying cars, that had some trucks in the back (because if you asked what she wanted for Christmas, all she told you was a pick up truck), and her other grandma got her a race track.

  1. Aw, Ava sounds cute. And like she’s got her priorities right. Shopping, Horses, Cats, Cars, ‘tending’… that’s quite a well-balanced mix. What more do you need? :D
